EduShield’s Major and Critical Incident Preparedness offer equips school and trust leaders with the knowledge, confidence, and tools to respond effectively when the unthinkable happens. Through expert-led training courses, leaders are supported to understand their roles in a crisis, manage critical communications, and navigate the complexities of multi-agency coordination.
Our programme can be tailored to executive, senior, operational leaders and staff and includes scenario-based table top exercises, giving teams the opportunity to rehearse decision-making in a safe but realistic environment, and we work closely with schools to develop clear, practical policies and procedures that ensure preparedness is embedded at every level.
EduShield provides robust and expert safeguarding support for schools and trusts, designed to strengthen practice and ensure compliance. Our offer includes comprehensive safeguarding reviews, which examine systems, culture, and frontline delivery to identify strengths and areas for development.

Members gain access to weekly CPD drops, ready-to-use slides and resources that DSLs can deliver directly to staff, making regular safeguarding updates simple and effective.
Every fortnight, we also provide specialist CPD sessions for leaders, exploring advanced safeguarding themes, case studies, and national developments. In addition, the EduShield Plus forum offers a confidential space for DSLs to ask questions, share challenges, and get trusted advice from our experts and peers across the network.
